life right now

my life right now.........
I am currently going to oquirrh hills middle school. I don't like the school cause it has no AC and no windows. I like it other than that , though I am happy to admit that not counting weekends there are about 13 days left of school.(my mom has said that several times woken up in a panic knowing we are going to be home from school) We are in charing cross ward, and although its taken me a while to adjust to the ways of utah, I think im going to like it here. I am way happy that I am still able to talk to my best friends from Pennsylvania, but I do really miss them. I am hoping that I can save up enough money to buy a plane ticket so I can go and see all the old faces and old places. They might be old, but I feel that when I go and see them, it will be even better than seeing a thousand presents under the Christmas tree. I know I probably sound like debbie downer, but now I will say things that I like about life here in utah.
It is not humid. We have a trampoline. I have my own room. I have some pretty good friends. There are beautiful mountains. We are closer to most of our family. We have a hot tub!!! :) and some other stuff too. i know most people don't read this but oh well. I am going to type up a poem I wrote at school.

The Difference
they tell you that they are kidding
but its not a joke to you
they're always being mean
you think there's nothing you can do
you tell them to leave you alone
but they say, "oh yeah? why should I?"
and while you're walking home from school
you are trying really hard not to cry

they that if you're lower
that they're higher off the ground
but really all they are doing
is tearing everybody down

i want to make a difference
in what i do and say
i hope that i never
make someone feel this way

don't ever feel
that you aren't worth a thing
cause deep down inside
you know they aren't right
and you know this
you are everything to me

well thats all. bye!!

  3. Love your new background Meg! I'm glad you're adjusting to life in Utah as well. Change is hard and sometimes it takes a long time to totally get the new vibe of somewhere new and find your niche.

And, of course, I think your poem is beautiful. You are so talented and such a deep thinker for such a young age. Love you miss! See you in a few weeks!

  4. Hurray!!!! You updated your blog!!!

I love the new background, too. I'm totally into birds right now as decorations. :)

Megan, you are so talented - I love your poem, but I hate that this is something you know anything about. People can be so mean... it's usually because of their own insecurities, but it's still hard. I'm so glad that you know want to make a difference, and never make anybody feel the way you described in your poem. You should submit this to be published. :-)

    You're the best - I love you!

  5. I was just saying to myself. . ."I wonder why I have not read a new blog from Megan. I wish she would write someting so I could get to know her better." Then I said . . ."I guess I will just have to go down and see her." Then I saw this blog so I said . . . "I guess I don't have to go down and see her anymore, but I will anyway cause I like her lots." The poem made me mad at those people who are mean. Especially people who call their grandkids rats and brats.

  6. Megan, that poem left me speechless and with a little tear in my eye. You've captured middle school so perfectly. You're very talented.

I can't wait to see you this summer!!! We're excited to see your new place. I wonder what you've done with your bedroom. Good things, I'm sure. :)
